The M16/M4 carrier includes a Mil-Spec gas key, chrome-lined and heat-treated to GI specifications, securely fastened with Grade 8 domestic manufacturing fasteners and properly staked per Mil-Specs. These hardened components ensure robust staking and reliable gas system functioning.

The bolt assembly is precision-machined from Mil-Spec Carpenter No. 158® steel, shot peened for increased strength, and equipped with tool steel machined extractor and ejector. It also includes a BCM Extractor Spring and undergoes HPT (High Pressure Testing) and MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) for added assurance of quality.
